The Village Of Pinehurst Seeks An Assistant Village Manager For Operations Who Will Work As A Member Of A Three-person Management Team To Develop Organizational Values, Principles, Goals, And Priorities Conducive To Organizational Excellence As Well As Programs To Enhance Organizational Efficiency And Effectiveness. As An Integral Member Of The Senior Leadership Team, This Position Will Advise The Village Manager, The Village Council, Citizens, And Village Staff On A Wide Range Of Issues And Programs And Will Assist In Establishing Vision And Direction For The Overall Operations Of Village Government. The Assistant Village Manager Projects Formal And Informal Leadership Throughout The Organization In Addition To Assigned Departments In Pursuit Of Excellence In The Attainment Of Our Mission: Community Quality Of Life. Currently, This Position Leads And Directs The Parks And Recreation Director, Public Services And Engineering Director, Fleet Maintenance Superintendent, Library Services And Archives Director, And Their Respective Teams. The Successful Candidate Will Have Graduated From An Accredited College Or University With A Master's Degree In Public Administration, Business, Or Related Field And Considerable Successful Experience In Public Sector Management Or A Comparable Combination Of Education And Experience. Extensive Experience With Corporate Planning And Budget Development Is Preferred. ICMA Certification Preferred. Residency Within The Village Limits Will Be Required Within A Designated Timeframe.
