The Electrical Trades Inspectors Primary Responsibility Is To Inspect Residential, Commercial, And Industrial Electrical Installations For Compliance With The N.C. State Building Codes And City Of Greensboro Ordinances. Some Plan Review Requiring Examination Of Electrical Plans And Construction Documents For Compliance With The N.C. State Building Codes Is Required. The Applicant Should Have The Knowledge And Skills To Provide Quality Inspections, Investigate Complaints, And Recommend Corrective Actions With Approval Of Supervisor. The Applicant Should Exhibit Strong Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, To Prepare Correspondence And Reports. The Physical Duties Of The Job Include Walking, Standing, Bending, Reaching And Kneeling, Stooping And Crawling In Confined Spaces, Climbing Ladders To Access Roof Top Equipment, Attics Etc., And Other Activities Associated With The Primary Responsibilities. The Electrical Trades Inspector's Working Conditions Include Working In Outdoor Weather, Around Loud Noise Levels And In Conditions With Risk Of Electrical Shock.
