Seeking A Maintenance Mechanic Or Senior Maintenance Mechanic Team Member For Our Mason Farm Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Ideal Candidate Should Be A Self-motivated Team Player With A Positive Attitude And A Proven Solid Work Ethic. The Purpose Of This Position Is To Ensure Safe, Reliable, And Efficient Operations Within The Facilities Of OWASA, And To Assist In Maintaining All Company Assets. Duties Include: • Performing Preventive Maintenance And Corrective Repairs On Water And Wastewater Plant Equipment, Including Pumps, Various Types Of Electrical Equipment Such As Generators, Motors, Variable Frequency Drives, Motor Control Centers, Transfer Switches, Control Circuits, And Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs) Instrumentation. • Installing New Equipment (pumps, Motors, Etc.), Disposing Of Old Equipment. • Inspecting Equipment; Completing Pump Station And Tank Inspections; Maintaining Spare Parts Inventory; Operating Various Trucks And Other Equipment To Complete Job. • Maintaining Plant Buildings And Facilities; Conduct General Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC And Plumbing Upkeep, Ensuring Facility Safety Standards Are Met. • Receiving And Completing Work Orders Through A Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). • Serve On The OWASA Spill Response Team Requires A Valid North Carolina Class C Driver’s License. Must Meet And Maintain The Requirements Of The Spill Response Team (bi-annual Physical, Ability To Wear A Full-face Respirator, Attending HAZWOPER Training, Etc.). Physical Requirements Include The Ability To Occasionally Lift 100 Pounds. Position Is Exposed To All Types Of Weather And Outdoor Elements; Responds To On-call After Hour Emergencies As Needed. Title And Salary Range Are Dependent On Education And Experience. Maintenance Mechanic Salary Range Is $46,111 - $69,167 Requires High School Diploma Or Equivalent With At Least Year Of Maintenance Experience. Knowledge Of Electrical, Hydraulic, And Pneumatic Equipment Desired. Senior Maintenance Mechanic Salary Range Is $58,775 - $88,162 Requires High School Diploma Or Equivalent With Additional Specialized School And/or Training With At Least Four Years Of Maintenance Experience.
